You get everything from the same people from start to finish, without middlemen. You don't need to explain things again or look for someone to call. With more than ten years of experience, the foundations and structures are done right the first time, and the price is fixed before the work starts.

“Veeti's company revitalized my old 30 m² wooden terrace in Haukilahti. The old terrace was sanded down and then re-oiled. The work started early in the morning and ended late at night. I am very pleased with the result.”

03 / Price
How much does a terrace cost?
Choose the size, material and terrain to see an indicative price before and after the household deduction.
Prices are per m² installed and include materials, labor and VAT 25.5%. Terrain and extras affect the final price.
What affects the price
What determines the price
These factors affect the price the most.
The price per m² of each material is shown on the options: pressure-treated pine is the cheapest and composite the most expensive.
Frost-susceptible soil needs deeper foundations, and bedrock needs special fixings.
A steep slope or the waterline can double the budget.
Railings, stairs, a roof, lighting and removing the old terrace.
This estimate isn't a quote. A fixed price is agreed before the work starts.

06 / Permits and regulations
Permits and regulations
A low terrace built on the ground usually doesn't need a permit. A covered, high or glazed terrace can need a permit or a notification. A railing is always needed when the floor is more than 50 cm above the ground. Building on the shore and large docks can need a permit under the Water Act (vesilaki).
Practices vary by municipality, so check your own situation with your municipality's building control. The property owner always applies for the permit, but we help you find out what your project needs.
How long does it take to build a terrace? + −
A typical 20–30 m² terrace at a home is done in about 3–7 working days. A terrace or dock on a slope or at the waterline typically takes 1–3 weeks, depending on how difficult the site is.
Does a terrace need a building permit? + −
In most cases, a low terrace built on the ground doesn't need a permit, but a covered, high or glazed terrace can. You'll find more details above under "Permits and regulations".
What is the best material for a terrace? + −
It depends on your budget, the location and how much maintenance you want to do. See the comparison above under "Material comparison".
Can I get the household deduction? + −
Yes, for the labor portion (40%). The labor portion is shown separately on the invoice.
Do I need to be there during the work? + −
No. We agree on access in advance and send you photos of the progress when needed.
Do you take the demolition waste away? + −
Yes, when this is agreed in advance. Pressure-treated wood is hazardous waste, and it goes to a proper collection point.
