What affects the price
What determines the price
These factors affect the price the most.
Reinforced concrete slows the work down, because the rebar has to be cut. Reinforcement increases the price by 50%.
In a small area, protection and preparation are a bigger part of the price, which is why the minimum charge is €300. For large areas, the price per square meter is agreed separately.
The floor, elevator, stairs and carrying distance affect carrying the waste out.
Whether the work is done in a home people live in or in an empty space.
A 10 cm concrete slab weighs about 240 kg/m². For amounts over 700 kg we order a waste container, and its price is shown in the quote.
Agreed per site
The price is agreed per site, at least the minimum charge.
We order the container for you, and the price is shown in the quote.
Prices incl. VAT 25.5%. Travel outside the service area €1.00/km. This estimate isn't a quote.

03 / Before you start
Tile and concrete removal without surprises
We sort these things out before the chisel hits the concrete, so the work goes safely and on schedule.
Read first
Asbestos survey in buildings built before 1994
In buildings built before 1994, tile mortar, leveling compounds and old waterproofing can contain asbestos, so a survey is done before removal. More about asbestos and permits on the Demolition page.
-
Dust and quartz dust
Chiseling concrete raises quartz dust into the air. We protect the walkways, tape the doors and use local extraction or negative pressure as needed. In a home people live in, it's best to schedule the work so the dusty stages are done in one go.
-
Noise and the housing company
Chiseling is loud work. In an apartment building or townhouse, you submit a renovation notification (muutostyöilmoitus) to the property manager, and noisy work is done at the times the housing company allows, usually 8 am–6 pm on weekdays. We are used to working with housing companies.
-
Pipes and cables
Before we chisel a floor or wall, we find out where the underfloor heating pipes, water pipes and electrical cables are. If there are no drawings, we open the spot carefully by hand.
A schedule that suits you
Small removal jobs often start the same or the next week, and there's no extra charge for a quick start. When needed, we also work at weekends, if the housing company rules allow it. In Vihti, we removed over 100 m² of barn floor in one weekend.
04 / How it works
From call to a clean base in four steps
-
Call or photos
Tell us what needs removing, how many square meters and the year the building was built. Photos sent on WhatsApp make the estimate quicker.
-
Site visit and price estimate
For small jobs, we give the estimate from photos. For larger ones, we come to the site. You get a clear price and a start date.
-
Protection and removal
We protect the walkways and surfaces, and then chisel and remove what was agreed.
-
Waste out and a clean handover
The demolition waste is hauled away and the space is cleaned. The base is ready for the waterproofing installer, the tiler or casting.
05 / Our work
Our work
How much does removal cost per square meter? + −
Tile removal costs €38/m², removing a wet room down to the substrate €55/m², removing screed €65/m² and removing a concrete slab €95/m² (incl. VAT). Reinforced concrete +50%. The minimum charge is €300. Hauling away the removal waste is included in the price. Removing fixtures and other mixed waste and hauling it away is billed by the hour at €62/h.
How much does a bathroom demolition cost? + −
Removing a typical bathroom (floor 5 m², walls 15 m²) down to the substrate costs about €1,100, and hauling away the removal waste is included in the price. Removing fixtures and mixed waste (toilet, sink, cabinets, suspended ceiling) is billed by the hour at €62/h. If the floor slab is also removed, for example to fix the floor slope, the floor part is calculated at the concrete price.
How long does removal take? + −
A bathroom demolition usually takes 1–3 working days. A small recess or a single opening is often done in a few hours.
Can I live at home during the removal? + −
Yes, in most cases. We protect and separate the work area, but you can still expect noise and some dust. Many people leave home for the day when the chiseling is at its loudest.
Do I need to order a waste container? + −
No. We take up to about 700 kg of removal waste ourselves, and it's included in the price per square meter. For larger amounts, we order a waste container for you, and its price is shown in the quote.
Is an asbestos survey needed? + −
If the building was built before 1994, a survey is needed before the removal. We don't do asbestos removal ourselves, but we help you find out what the site needs.
Can I get the household deduction for tile and concrete removal? + −
Yes. You can get the household deduction for the labor portion when the work is done in your own home or holiday home. We show the labor portion separately on the invoice.
Do you work for housing companies and businesses? + −
Yes. Our customers include housing companies, businesses and private property owners.
What area do you serve? + −
Our main area is Vihti, Nummela and Lohja. We also work in Espoo, Helsinki, Kirkkonummi, Veikkola and Kauniainen. We go to Vantaa, Tuusula, Nurmijärvi, Sipoo and Siuntio on request. If your site is further away, feel free to ask, and we'll agree on the travel costs.
How quickly can you start? + −
We usually reply the same day, and small removal jobs often start the same or the next week. There's no extra charge for a quick start.
Can you do the work at the weekend? + −
Yes, if agreed. In a detached house or an empty space, the weekend suits well. In a housing company, noisy work is done at the times the housing company allows.
